• Book your appointment with Respect Health Clinic.
• You will receive 20 bulk billed sessions with our Psychologist over a 12 month period.

What if I’m not eligible for an EDP?

• Respect Health Clinic also offer private billed sessions.
• Remember: it’s ok to get a second opinion with another doctor – be open and honest about your day to day experience and challenges.
• If you are not eligible for an EDP, you may still be able to access subsidised sessions with mental health and allied health professionals under the Medicare ‘Better Access’ Scheme. A GP can discuss options with you.

What does CBT Insomnia sessions assist?

The most effective treatment for insomnia is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT, face-to-face or online). It may help with:

What is a Home Sleep Test?

A home sleep test (HST) is a convenient way to monitor your sleep and detect potential sleep disorders like apnea, often done in the comfort of your own home. It measures various aspects of your sleep, such as breathing patterns, oxygen levels, heart rate, and body movements, using sensors worn at home overnight. This data is then analysed by a sleep specialist to help diagnose and manage sleep-related issues. 

To be eligible for an Medicare Bulk Billed (level 2) Home Sleep Test, you need to meet specific criteria, which includes:

• Aged 18 years or older; and
• Hold an Australian Medicare Card or DVA Card; and
• Have a valid GP referral

Then, Book an appointment with our Respect Health Clinic Sleep Team:

• Our team will provide a quick sleep questionnaire to assess whether a Sleep Physician Consult is required prior to your test.
• You will then take home the Sleep Test Kit and wear it over night (minimum 10 hours wearing) and return it to our clinic the next morning.
• Our team will then arrange a follow up appointment to discuss your results in detail (this session is bulked billed as part of the sleep test).

What if I’m not eligible for an Medicare Bulk Billed Test?

• Our Sleep Test service is still available and offered as private billing for non-Medicare patients (e.g. 18 years and under, overseas patients, commercial drivers, occupational health reviews, etc.
